The Greens played an attacking game right through, hardly ever allowing the AIFF juniors to settle down or offering them any space. Beniston Barretto was outstanding for the Greens in goal and thwarted the rival forwards time and again. Denil Rebello came close to doubling the lead for Salgaocar but saw his free-kick crash against the upright.
Salgaocar’s juniors next face Sporting Clube de Goa juniors on 11th April at T.B. Cunha Sports Complex, Cansaulim.
