The Kops captured the former Chelsea flop from the Italian giants - on the back of an impressive two-year stint - for a club record fee and he has been their main source of inspiration so far in the 2017-18 season.
The Egypt international followed up his virtuoso midweek showing with another brilliant performance to help Jurgen Klopp’s side sweep aside West Ham United 4-1 in Saturday’s English Premier League encounter as he contributed two goals.
Salah has now scored 12 goals and created three assists in all competitions - a feat that has won him rave reviews from teammates, coaches, ex-players, pundits and fans alike.
“I had confidence from the beginning. I was happy to come here,” Salah told BT Sport .
“I had two great seasons in Rome so I had confidence to come to England again. That was the plan. I have to carry on and keep looking forward to the next games.”
Reacting to their 4-1 thrashing of West Ham at the London Stadium, the former Chelsea player said: “We started the game very well and scored at the beginning. That helped us.
“It’s a good result in the end and we have to carry on and keep looking forward,” he continued.
“We have great players up front and we have a great team. Everyone wants to give everything and I’m happy that everyone is doing well. I’m happy for the team to get the result.”
